Revolutionary Road
Leonardo is teaming with Kate Winslet for the first time since "Titanic" for "Revolutionary Road," a Dream Works picture. Sam Mendes (who is married to Winslet) will direct the movie, which is based on the 1961 novel by Richard Yates about post-war disillusionment.
Set in the mid-1950s, DiCaprio and Winslet play a young couple with children living in a Connecticut suburb who are caught between their true desires and the pressure to conform. Their dilemma has explosive consequences.
House of Lies
Leonardo recently signed on to the production of 'House of Lies,' an upcoming Warner Brothers movie due to start filming in Morocco and Washington DC in late 2007. This will be Leonardo's first time working with director Ridley Scott. William Monahan is writing the screenplay for the movie which is based on a novel by David Ignatius. This will be Monahan's second project with Leonardo, fresh off of his Oscar win for Best Adapted Screenplay for 'The Departed.'
'House of Lies' is about a journalist (DiCaprio), injured in the Iraq war, who is hired by the CIA to track down an Al Qaeda leader in Jordan who is suspected of planning a terrorist attack on the United States.
'House of Lies' is due for release in October of 2008.
