Set in the mid-1950s, Leonardo and Kate Winslet play a young couple with children living in a Connecticut suburb who are caught between their true desires and the pressure to conform. Their dilemma has explosive consequences. The film is based on the 1961 novel by Richard Yates about post-war disillusionment.

Revolutionary Road marks the first time Leonardo and Kate have worked together since Titanic. The film was shot in the northeast of the United States during the spring of 2008, and was directed by Winslet's husband, Sam Mendes.

Revolutionary road will be released in US theaters on December 26th, 2008.
