What information is collected?

LeonardoDiCaprio.com only collects personal information from our online visitors on a voluntary basis and only through Guest Book registration and System Logging. Personal information collected may include your name, email address, age group, postal/zip code and Country of occupancy.

Visitors purchasing goods and services through our online store will need to provide a valid credit card number and expiration date, in addition to other information that may be required to process an online order. LeonardoDiCaprio.com is not responsible nor do we warrant their privacy policy.

What happens to information provided through the Guest Book?

LeonardoDiCaprio.com does not disclose any personal information to third parties.

If you register for the Guest Book, you will be asked to provide personally identifying information. Information collected in this manner will allow us to alert you to new products, features and enhancements or special events before the non-registered visitor. We may use your personal information for our internal marketing and demographic studies or we may use this information to consistently improve our site to better meet our visitors needs.

Registration in our Guest Book is strictly optional.

What happens to information provided through System Logging?

Our web server and e-mail server keep log files about network transactions. Birken’s policy is to destroy these logs after they are 30 days old. We do analyze our web log files to calculate statistics on which pages are visited and how long visitors stay on our site. We do not track individuals with this information. We retain this information for the security of our site and online service. E-mail addresses of messages sent from our system are logged as well. These logs are not viewed unless necessary for security reasons and are deleted after 30 days.

INTERNET ADDRESSES:

LeonardoDiCaprio.com gathers Internet Protocol Addresses (IP Addresses) and pages viewed as part of the logging system within our web server. When calculating statistics on visits and pages viewed, IP addresses are listed in broad calculations. IP addresses are never used to identify someone personally unless a security breach requires such an investigation.

What about cookies?
